5 signs it's time to break up with your doctor

…with your chiropractor or physical therapist.

A lot of money, time and energy are wasted everyday in healthcare when trying to deal with an injury.

So here are 5 signs that you are NOT in the right place to get your injury fixed:

1 – You don’t have a true diagnosis.  The Chiropractor says that your neck or low back is “out.”  What the heck does that even mean?  Where did it go?  Or the Physical Therapist says you have some tightness or weakness.  What is tight?  Why is it tight?  Even worse, you don’t even know what your diagnosis is.  Where in the world can you fix a problem without knowing what it is first?

2 – Your treatment isn’t right for the problem that you have.  It’s only focused on what your doctor happens to be trained in.  A Chiropractor adjusts.  A Physical Therapist performs stretches or exercises… but is that what you truly need?

3 – Your Doctor is always trying to up-sell you on a bunch of nonsense that you really don’t need.  Lots of expensive vitamins, pillows, at home stim machines or even their own awful book.  Next thing you know a “routine” visit to the Chiropractor ends up costing you a few hundred bucks!

4 – The first thing that ever comes up when other people ask about your Doctor is that they are “really nice.”  Trust me, I think that being nice is a great thing, but at the end of the day I advise you to make sure that your providers are really good at what they do.  Their “niceness” can be a great secondary perk.

5 – You feel guilty for not going in or trying a different form of treatment.  If you are on visit 80 of getting your “subluxation” corrected and it still isn’t working there is a good chance that it just wont work.  If the office staff constantly hounds you to come back in, or the doctor makes you feel bad for trying something else, it is definitely a red flag.

The current medical model is a complete joke and people get swindled out of their hard earned money everyday in the hopes of getting resolution for their injury and pain.  If you find yourself fitting any of the signs listed above maybe it is time to move on.
